    1. BEFORE UNIT / LESSON Students create mind maps at the start of a topic
    2. AFTER UNIT / LESSON Students return to said mind map (Using a different coloured pen or a key) and add what they now know

    Top Tip
    Include question prompts on the board or your unit learning outcomes / goals to encourage more thorough wide range of responses
    Alternative approach could be a pre and post questionnaire
